Directory Bids
About Directory Bids
What is Directory Bids?
Directory Bids is a bid directory where you can list your site by placing bids. To get your site listed an initial bid of only $1 is needed. The higher the bid, the higher the exposure.
Okay, tell me more...
When you add your link to the directory, you only have to place a bid of at least $1 to activate your listing. when you add your link to the directory, it gets sorted in two ways. First by the first letter of the site title. example: if the title of your site is "Insurance Blog", your site will get listed underneath the letter "I". Secondly your link gets placed in the specified category.
So how does a higher bid gets me more exposure?
Within the categories, only 10 listings are shown per page and the listings are sorted by the highest bids. So the higher you bid, the higher your listing gets placed within the category. The top five highest overall bids, also get exposure on the front page.
And are there any other benefits?
Of course. All the listings have search-engine friendly links. That means that your listing links directly to your site. This way you will receive search-engine ranking by being listed in the directory. As Directory Bids gets more back links it's PageRank will increase. When the PageRank of Directory Bids climbs, all the listings will also benefit from a strong PR back link.
Sounds good! How do I buy a link?
You can buy a link by clicking on Buy a Link. There you can fill in all the needed details about your link. When you’re done submit the form and make sure you place an initial bid to activate your listing.
How about deep links?
If your initial bid is high enough, you can add deep links to your initial link. This way way you can add more related links, that link directly to a certain page within your site (example: FAQ, Support, Forums, Order, Features, About Us, etc.). You are not allowed to add "deep links" that lead to another site than the initial link.
I still have a question though...
